What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

Amazon ec2 has first mover advantage. Very simple and easy to use interface and features compared to its competition.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Elasticity as the name indicates Elastic Compute cloud, load balancing is just great.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Cost might create issue if not properly optimized as per use.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Cost optimization is very important when you are using any service from the AWS stack. So plan according to your needs.

What differentiates Amazon EC2 from other similar products?

Amazon EC2 is a feature full service , where as its in build integration with various other services differentiates from other services. Its integration with Lambda, S3 Bucket services make its ease as a developer, as getting all the services at one place makes it simple in the entire development life cycle.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My personal favorite aspect of the product is the integration with other AWS services at one place such as S3, Lambda, RDS etc. Also the ability to select various types of instances according to the needs is also a great feature since it allows to control cost etc.

What do you dislike most about this product?

For an beginner level developer trying to host a server on EC2 instance is pretty overwhelming since it has many terminologies and other things to understand . also the dev experience while working with EC2 is also not pretty smooth especially working with sever development where server is containerized with Docker etc.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

AWS EC2 is no doubt a highly reliable and damn fast service to consider for all the scalable needs and future upgrades. It has all the capabilities which a hosting platform must have. The only thing to consider is the learning curve for a total beginner to understand things in the first instance and get go with it, For someone who already has working experience with hosting servers on the internet might feel simple to work with it.
