What differentiates Acumatica Cloud ERP - Manufacturing Edition from other similar products?

I managed a different mid tier ERP (not SAP, Dynamics, or Oracle ERP) in the past from a large software vendor. I was worried ACM will be similarly frustrating. However, ACM's features are way above the one I used for 2 years. For nearly a year, I was the only one person managing the entire ERP platform (server maintenance, DB maintenance, data, BA, PgM, etc.) for my company, and it was doable because ACM is a lot different than the one I managed previously even though we are on private cloud. As a techie, I see shortcomings in ability to debug but I suspect with a trained C# developer, most organizations will be able to run the platform

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Support organization is super helpful. I have gotten help from colleagues in the US, Russia, Canada, and Sri Lanka. Any and all colleagues go above and beyond to help out

What do you dislike most about this product?

Limited capabilities. Having said that, this is still a evolving ERP. The company's leadership put in effort to take on larger more mature platforms and incorporate the functionalities

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are a a mid size company (150-1000 employees; 150 Million - 1 billion in revenue) and need to have each user on the system, ACM is for you. If you are on the smaller side, it is better to go for ACM's SaaS solution, else can go for private cloud (requires a DBA and server administrator). Most configurations can be done by analyst kind of person

It is a well-structured product that follows the standard steps applied in manufacturing processes, but it still requires improvements that will increase its difference with other ERPs every day, since it remains attached to the best practices of the industry.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The automatic generation of purchases of the required items is a process of great help for the maintenance of a real inventory, based on the inputs and outputs according to the production movements.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Loading the bill of materials in relation to their quantities.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Review what the manufacturing module offers in detail with the help of an Acumatica specialist consultant and verify that everything it offers is adapted or can be adapted to the company's internal processes.

Compare to other ERP system Acumatica provide greater flexibility. Manufacturing Edition enables to operate with effective SCM and CRM operations for small and medium size enterprises. Greate flexibility to operate Service and labor transactions to capture day to day activities. The best part of the Acumatica is Dash boards and Generic enquiry form to create robust report to make quick and logical decision chart. Acumatica enable planning and scheduling capability.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Flexibility, and customer centric solution. It covers current Supply chain operation with different concept of optimization. Visibility of the data is unmatchable. Low code Report designer enable to create custom report. User interface is too good. Acumatica community is the great platform to get the solutions from different sources. Acumatica partner certifications are the best class documents where we can gain and understand the specific knowledge in all aspects.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Quality management is not available in Acumatica Manufacturing Edition. Would like to see within Acumatica to increase the customers in all type of industries. Project management feature will not give greater flexibility to capture the cost associated with the material based on Task. Costing management can be improve to meet all the requirement with respect to different methods.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Acumatica can be use in any type of industry to operate effectively and efficiently. Acumatica modules have greater capabilities to cover enterprises to operate the business smoothly.
