Simplifying the process of time tracking in Wrike
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Wrike from other similar products?
Wrike's dashboard and reporting functionality set it apart from other project management tools. Management can easily monitor time spent versus budget at a high level. The ability to focus on individual tasks, team members, or specific time periods provides valuable information. Bottlenecks, redundant work, and areas where scope creep occurs have been identified. This has allowed us to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and assign people to higher priority initiatives.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Wrike's intuitive time tracking capabilities impressed me when our team started using it. The ability to easily log hours for specific projects has given us unprecedented visibility into where time is spent. People feel ownership of their work, but oversight is still present. Timesheets provide full visibility without the rigidity of clocking in and out. Team members can track time on the go from any device, so work progresses smoothly. Morale is boosted knowing that their efforts are properly recorded and valued.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Of course, any new system requires a period of adaptation. Learning to use Wrike was a challenge at first, but Wrike's assistance was excellent. Now that everyone is comfortable, time tracking has become second nature.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The value Wrike provides in streamlining processes easily outweighs the initial costs. I recommend this product to other organizations looking for a better way to manage assets. The ability to truly understand where time is spent is a game changer for increased efficiency and impact.

Project Initiation: A solid foundation with Wrike
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Wrike from other similar products?
Wrike's file-sharing capabilities allow for secure distribution of configuration checklists, migration scripts, and validation testing results among involved groups. Comments streamline feedback processes, eliminating the need for unnecessary status meetings. I use Wrike to assign tasks to various infrastructure teams, including networking, storage, security, operating systems, and application owners.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
During the project initiation phase, I use Wrike's customizable templates, timelines, and assignment workflows to outline prerequisites. This includes tasks such as provisioning hardware, adjusting security controls, exporting/importing data, repointing connections, and conducting smoke testing. Wrike's ability to auto-sequence critical path tasks based on dependencies ensures a well-orchestrated plan. After migration, Wrike tracks defects and root causes in a shareable format. This feature ensures that all stakeholders remain aligned on remediation priorities, fostering effective collaboration.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Wrike's work management features are essential for organizing complex database migrations across teams. However, the platform's mobile notifications could benefit from more comprehensive real-time alerts, and its user interface may not be as polished as that of its early competitors.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Wrike's dedicated subfolders facilitate organized task management, while real-time progress bars offer visual insights into task completion. This helps me manage timing buffers and anticipate potential delays as cutovers approach. I highly recommend Wrike to leaders who are dealing with complex, interdependent deliverables that cannot be managed through linear project plans.
