Great control in your project
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Azure DevOps from other similar products?
Cost management and versatility of VMs. Leveraging DevTest Labs VM templates and formulas to have pre build dev environments for developers to spin up when needed based on the project they are working on is extremely efficient and cost effective.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Ability for users to claim machines and out of the box schedule for shutdown and startup of VMs Provisioning of VMs with predefined template (formula).
What do you dislike most about this product?
It has so many different options and you can do so many things, but it lacks proper documentation or at least guides for users that start with a new project, you can eventually learn everything. But it will be better if you could have a guide to assist you a long the way.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
In the Azure devops it's very difficult to handle conflicts in the repos on site. You need to do it manually on the own code editor and push again. It is bit confusing if you are newbie to the Git version controlling.
Pros
- Continually Improving Product
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
- Includes Product Enhancements

What differentiates Azure DevOps from other similar products?
We use Azure DevOps to manage all our projects across the entire organization. The project manager usually translates all software requirements to Azure DevOps and assign appropriate tasks to programmers. it's a really flexible tool to implement DevOps methodology. The project development is followed through the platform, also because the team performance.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Easy representation of software requirements in user stories and tasks. It allows the tracking of activities and team performance It allows interaction between team members during a specific task You can use only a couple of tools to enrich your existing workflow There is a free version for little teams (up to five users)
What do you dislike most about this product?
Some small improvements might be wiped out of the interface. Sometimes the performance is low (some requests/queries are slow)
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Azure DevOps allows you to start out with DevOps methodology during a fast and straightforward way. The graphical interface is great and it's suitable to small and large teams. It really helps you to manage projects, tasks and teams.

A complete one-stop solution for agile project man

What differentiates Azure DevOps from other similar products?
Azure DevOps offers a good sort of tools for a CI/CD environment and it's really useful. We are moving from a static build model to an automatic one then VSTS has the tools we'd like to continue growing within the future. We started using VSTS, now Azure DevOps, as a code repository only and that is the most use within our organization.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Azure DevOps bundles all the useful tools together in a seamless way. Sprint boards, Code repositories, Pipelines etc. all can be managed from a single application. Facilitates easy collaboration between technical members and business or product owners. Facilitates parity between different environments by providing a single source of truth for all pipelines.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Azure DevOps Sprint boards can be improved, similar to Jira (this can be my bias). Teams and Azure DevOps integration can be improved in-terms of updates of stories or tasks. Pipeline job logs and their web console views can be improved
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It is well suited for large and distributed teams, developing cloud-native applications in a fast fail-fast approach. It will enable seamless development and support different platforms in integrations. It is of less value if the teams are small and located together and also in cases where the application runs on legacy software.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
