Decent product for centralising your architecture

What differentiates Adoit from other similar products?
I haven't used many similar products to this product by BOC Group Adoit, but what I like are the REST APIs I have used to integrate with employer systems. What's interesting is that it uses the OpenAPI specification to easily describe what the API does/is, as well as available endpoints and response payloads for users/repositories etc. Bear in mind I have used this product a few years ago with previous employers, so I'm unsure if they have updated/added features since.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Other than the ease of REST API usage, I really like how easy the E2E process is for object creation all the way to creating architecture diagrams. The out-of-the-box insights dashboard generation is very useful to as it shows me relationships as well as capability scores without having to put much work in myself. Quite useful for delivering to stakeholders without the time-delay it takes to manually create dashboards in external products. so in summary, most of the product is super easy to use, whether you're a technical or non technical user
What do you dislike most about this product?
The main thing I dislike is that the UI is very inconsistent. For example, a lot of drop-downs and the various home pages for each tab in the product are quite modern-looking, then the explorer tab and object creation tabs are a mix between modern and outdated UI components. But nothing to dislike specifically regarding the core functionality of the product, especially as the majority of my work as a software engineer was integrating REST APIs.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
1. Take a good look what integrations you need for your system/products. The REST API has the capability to integrate with pretty much anything, but out-of-the-box popular platform connectors can save a lot of development time for you 2. Consider security standards. Unless they've changed things in the last few years, I don't remember specifically if the product does have security features to leverage other than the standard REST API auth tokens. 3. From the perspective of myself at a previous employer, consider training quite carefully as in my opinion, it is a bit costly. 4. Insight Dashboards are great! Use them where you see fit!
Pros
- Trustworthy
- Inspires Innovation
- Saves Time
- Acts with Integrity
Cons
- Security Frustrates

Feature-rich, but lacks risk and compliance tools
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Adoit from other similar products?
BOC Group ADOIT stands out because it offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to deployment options—whether you need multi-tenant, hybrid, or single-tenant models. It supports frameworks like TOGAF and ArchiMate, which helps businesses align their IT with their overall strategy. The freemium Community Edition is also a cool feature, making it easy to try out without commitment. ADOIT’s tools for scenario analysis, roadmapping, and repository management are especially strong, making it a solid choice for enterprise architecture planning.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of BOC Group ADOIT is its flexible deployment options and the freemium Community Edition, making it accessible to individuals and small teams without upfront costs.
What do you dislike most about this product?
What I dislike most about BOC Group ADOIT is that it lacks strong risk management and compliance features. While it shines at enterprise architecture and strategic planning, it doesn’t offer the deep tools needed for things like risk analysis or compliance tracking. This can be a dealbreaker if your organization needs a more comprehensive solution for those aspects.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you’re thinking about trying out BOC Group ADOIT, I’d say go for the Community Edition first—it’s free and a great way to get a feel for the tool without any commitment. ADOIT does a solid job with enterprise architecture modeling, especially with frameworks like TOGAF and ArchiMate. Plus, it offers flexible deployment options, which is nice if you’re juggling different environments.
