What differentiates IBM Maximo from other similar products?
We use IBM control Desk for management and monitoring of our IT assets. we use it to asses their performance and solve any issues affecting them reducing their capacity to operate. It is collects data extensively from various databases and clearly identifies problems, finds the root cause before taking any amendments.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The very powerful monitoring capabilities of the software; IBM control desk ensures that we have a view of our assets at all times enabling us to see problems in real time and solve them before they cause much harm. It is also very flexible and can be used in multiple scenarios once it has been correctly configured.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It has restricted integration with other tools, this has been compensated for by the APIs to some extent but not fully. IBM is also lacking in terms of support and documentation greatly affecting those with limited knowledge in the software
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
IBM control desk has helped create more transparency into our workflows beyond IT and operations. The real time view into all our enterprise deployed assets configuration and maintenance specifics help improve performance. The software is very flexible and can be used in different areas our our large company.

What differentiates IBM Maximo from other similar products?
IBM control desk allows us to effectively support several customers through a single pane of glass. The ITSM avails us with easy access to self-support information minimizing to and fro calls to service desk agents. It has wonderful tools that send notifications about problems immediately and ask for our services. It conducts impact analysis automatically changes the course of action if it has proven to cause hindrances in workflow before. IBM Control Desk gives us improved visualization of our infrastructure and increased control over our assets automation to minimize costs and enhance the efficiency, and effectiveness of our processes.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like how streamlined the deployment options are whether it is on premise or cloud SaaS. I have been able to install it as VM image this, has provided me a the ability to change the delivery model in a a very straightforward way as our department grows. i love the that OSLC integrations act as unifiers and permit us to link to data stored in other sources, eliminating need to store additional copies of data.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It has limitations when integrating with some software. They lack customer support and minimal documentation. This has been a huge problem for those who lack extensive knowledge about the software.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It is a wonderful ITSM ad greatly improve the efficiency of the organization; with its many apps that allow for managing data centers for several clients. There is very limited documentation about the deployment and use of the software.
