What differentiates Cisco Umbrella from other similar products?
Cisco Umbrella's cloud-native architecture offers unparalleled scalability and performance, ensuring seamless protection across distributed networks. Its advanced machine learning capabilities enable proactive threat detection and efficient remediation, setting it apart from traditional security solutions.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The software's simple interface and central management console make it easy for IT teams to monitor and control security policies across the entire organization. Its seamless integration with existing infrastructure makes it simple to use.
What do you dislike most about this product?
While Cisco Umbrella is good at many things, its reporting could be better. More detailed and customizable reporting would provide deeper insight into network activities and security events, which would help with compliance and auditing.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I've seen how Cisco Umbrella has helped our organization's cybersecurity. Its threat intelligence and filtering capabilities have helped us keep our data safe from cyber threats. The software's integration with our existing infrastructure has helped us move to a more secure and compliant environment. Umbrella's dashboard and real-time monitoring help our team make informed decisions and keep our business running smoothly. We're excited for more reporting capabilities, but Umbrella is already a great help.

Fortifying Our Mobile Frontier
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Cisco Umbrella from other similar products?
Cisco Umbrella is great at keeping users and locations safe. It's great that you can define security policies by identities, not locations. The Umbrella global backbone ensures consistent protection for internet activity.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Securing our mobile apps is crucial. Umbrella stops threats before they reach users by enforcing security at the DNS and IP layers. It can block bad sites before they reach users.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Umbrella's cloud-delivered model could add latency for mobile users in regions without global backbone peering points. Some apps need to be filtered on-site if they are very sensitive to latency.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Today's employees demand seamless mobile access to digital products and services. But this makes our risk much bigger. Securing traditional office infrastructure is difficult enough. Mobile threats like risky WiFi, device compromises, and data leakage make it harder. Cisco Umbrella showed us a new way to provide security without affecting the mobile experience. Its smart proxy checks traffic for hidden threats, while dynamic filters block inappropriate content. Finally, we have the protection we need for our mobile-cloud transition.

Secure Cloud Enablement
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Cisco Umbrella from other similar products?
Cisco Umbrella provides secure internet access. Its DNS security can filter websites, limit cloud apps, and block threats. It works everywhere. Umbrella's cloud-delivered model ensures consistent policy enforcement anywhere users go. The management console lets you customize acceptable web categories and monitor internet activity. You also get security intelligence from Cisco Talos.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
When I tell customers how to use Cisco Umbrella, I show them how it can make their internet security the same everywhere. Umbrella doesn't require on-premises hardware. It simply routes devices' DNS requests through its cloud.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Umbrella relies on the internet, so if links go down, it won't work. The policy engine can't adapt to changing user and app behaviors over time.

- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
